Recently, my girls seem to enjoy playing together more than usual...but not when they're supposed to. As I put them down for naps, a nap is not what happened. They seem to know how to pretend to sleep as I leave the room, and then giggle and giggle with each other as soon as I leave. Pretty smart kids. On a recent Sunday afternoon, I told my husband we needed to move our office area. The only logical spot was downstairs in a false walled area that was there when we moved in. Before he came home from work, I had already gotten motivated and was moving boxed. Apparently my husband didn't realize I meant we had to move TODAY. He was thinking sometime in the future. Nevertheless, he went on with my brilliant plan for him. We needed to work quickly, because we were throwing a crazy birthday party for our 1 year old in a week!!
Above is what it looked like before.
By Sunday night, the wall was gone. Hooray for sledgehammers! We made a little closet to cover the utility box and provide a little storage. What a mess!
The next few days progress...
Adding drywall, then mudding, then painting. Putting the door in for the closet and adding trim.
He even built a beautiful scrapbook/crafting shelf for my area.. what a guy...
Final details- jam board and trim for window, and finishing touches.. It's an improvement if I do say so myself.
AFTER: (11 days later!)
